The SDE Accounting Section deals with practically all SDE financial matters. A partial list of these would include working with budgets, financial reporting, payroll and personnel information, audits, and compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and policies. This Section processes SDE employee, workshop participant, and consultant’s travel claims, as well as vendor invoices. SDE Accounting reviews, checks budget availability, and pre-approves all departmental purchases, and audits invoices and material receipts prior to processing vendor payments. All SDE contracts are also reviewed in this Section.
